  • So I just got this today for Christmas and it's so beautiful I could cry. I fell in love with it as soon as it was announced and it has exceeded every one of my expectations. I also have the LoZ LE 3DS and this is my first time owning one of the XL versions of the Nintendo handhelds.

Pros: It's surprisingly light; I honestly expected it to be heavier than the original 3DS design, which is why I've always shied away from the XL models.

The screen is huge and makes viewing certain parts of games much easier on my eyes.

The 3D slider clicks when it is off, which is a nice feature. Sometimes my finger would slide on my 3DS and accidentally turn up the 3D, so it's great to have that little added security.

I love love LOVE the matte finish of the system. Much as I still love my LoZ 3DS, the high gloss shows smudges and fingerprints too much for my liking. Plus it just looks classier to me.

I can't say anything about the battery since I'm in the process of giving it its first full charge at the moment.

The fact that Nintendo went back to the hard plastic stylus. The folding aspect of the stylus for the original 3DS made them all but impossible for me to use - they
would constantly slide closed on me while using them.

    Cons:

Even though mine doesn't have the problem (yet), I am all too aware of the top screen wobble others have mentioned.

And this also hasn't happened yet, but I know it will soon enough - the stylus loosening up in its spot and falling out.

So all in all, this is a solid design from Nintendo and will definitely appeal to any Nintendo fan, especially those of us who remember spending their childhood parked in front of the TV with their copy of Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt.
